Payments & passes

You record payments on the student — that way the app keeps track of who's paid how much, how many sessions they have left, and who owes you.

  1. Open the student's profile, or the add-payment button.
  2. Pick the student if one isn't already selected.
  3. Enter the amount and the number of sessions.
  4. Save.

Fee types let you set up your regular passes in advance (e.g. "10-session pass"), so recording a payment is faster. Fee types and detailed, pass-based payments are available on the Pro plan.

A pass can have an expiry date, or stay valid for a set number of days. You can set a default expiry on a fee type (e.g. end of month), which the app pre-fills when you record a payment — so you don't have to enter it every time.

If you turn on "Forfeit unused sessions on expiry", then after the expiry date any unused sessions left on the pass are zeroed out and don't roll over to the next pass. The debt itself is kept regardless — a new payment still pays it down.

The balance shows where a student stands: whether they owe you (used more sessions than they paid for) or paid in advance (still have sessions to use). The receivables list also collects everyone who owes you.

Warning: "Forfeit unused sessions on expiry" is off by default. While it's off, remaining sessions stay on the pass even after it expires.
