Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the Attendlr app (Android, iOS and the web version at app.attendlr.com). By registering or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

Data handling is covered by a separate document, the Privacy Policy — it also forms part of our agreement.

1. The service provider

2. The service

Attendlr is a record-keeping app for trainers and instructors: managing students, sessions, attendance, passes, payments and related features. The available features differ by plan (a free plan, plus the Basic, Pro and Premium subscriptions); the current feature list and usage limits are always shown in the app.

We develop the service continuously: features may change, expand or be discontinued. If a feature you pay for is materially reduced, we will notify you a reasonable time in advance.

3. Account and registration

• Only persons aged 18 or over may create an account, for their own training/instruction activity.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• Keep your sign-in credentials safe — you are responsible for activity in your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account without authorisation, notify us immediately at support@attendlr.com.

4. Free plan and subscriptions

• The free plan comes with usage limits (e.g. the number of students); the current limits are shown in the app. The free plan is not a trial — it can be used without a time limit.
• The paid plans (Basic, Pro, Premium) are auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through the billing systems of Google Play or the App Store. The current price is shown in the app before purchase.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play / App Store subscription manager; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by the stores' own policies.
• Prices may change; a price increase can only apply from the next renewal period, and you will be notified in advance under the stores' rules.
• If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your data is kept — only the paid features lock. If you subscribe again, you continue where you left off.

5. Your clients' data — your responsibility

You enter data about your students, leads and their contact persons into the app. For this data, you are the data controller under the GDPR, and Attendlr acts as your data processor. You therefore undertake to:

• record and manage your clients' data lawfully: inform them, and have a legal basis for processing their data (typically your training agreement with them);
• record a minor's data only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian;
• fulfil any request from a client to delete or hand over their data — every record in the app can be edited and deleted;
• take responsibility for the content, accuracy and lawfulness of the data you enter.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• access (or attempt to access) another person's account or data without authorisation;
• interfere with the operation of the service (e.g. overloading, automated bulk access, circumventing security limits);
• resell, lease or provide the app as a service to third parties;
• reverse-engineer or copy the app beyond what the law expressly permits.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account — where possible, after prior warning.

7. Intellectual property and your data

• The app, its source code, design, logo and name are the property of the service provider. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it, conditional on complying with these terms.
• The data you enter remains yours. We store and process it solely to the extent needed to provide the service — see the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Availability

We strive for continuous, error-free operation, but we do not guarantee that the service will be available without interruption or errors (maintenance, outages, and failures of internet or third-party providers can occur). The database is backed up regularly.

9. Limitation of liability

• Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the service provider's liability for damage arising in connection with the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you use the free plan, liability is limited to the narrowest extent permitted by law.
• We do not limit liability for damage caused intentionally, or for damage to human life, physical integrity or health.
• The service provider is not responsible for the content of the data you enter, nor for business or professional decisions you make based on data stored in the app.

10. Terminating your account

• You may terminate your account at any time, without giving a reason, directly in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account (if you no longer have the app installed, write to support@attendlr.com). Deletion covers all account data and is permanent — see the Privacy Policy for details. Any paid subscription must be cancelled separately in Google Play or the App Store.
• We may terminate your account in the event of a serious breach of section 6.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time (e.g. for new features or changes in the law). We will notify you of material changes in the app or by email, a reasonable time before they take effect. By continuing to use the app after a change takes effect, you accept the modified terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

• These terms are governed by Hungarian law.
• In the event of a dispute, we will first try to resolve it amicably — write to support@attendlr.com. Failing that, the competent Hungarian court will proceed.
• If you qualify as a consumer, you may also turn to the conciliation body competent for your place of residence (in Budapest: Budapest Arbitration Board / Budapesti Békéltető Testület, bekeltet.bkik.hu).
